                              Week# 4 September 8-12

My Accomplishment 

Last week I was able to execute my lessons and it went smoothly though I got challenge with the students’ performance. to become a teacher I need all the patience in the world in order for me not to say words that would hurt my students feelings, even though their testing my patience I need to focus on teaching and confidently I can say that I really did my best to impart what I’ve prepared. In order to call my students attention most of the time I’m calling those students who were not paying attention. As expected they don’t know the answers to my question. They were busy doing their own thing and it’s really an insult for me.  But what can I do I need understand them I need to guide them.

My significance experience
I was challenge by my students but thanks to my Cooperating Teacher she shared some tips in order to get my students attention this are the following: make voice broader and loader, call students mostly at the back. For the first day of my teaching at the grade 8 chastity some of my students there are not behaving or participating I do not know if what I’ve done is right or wrong. I gave my students activity which is to differentiate and give the similarities of three countries Philippines , Malaysia and Singapore, since some of them are not listening they past a blank paper what I’ve done is that I put the blank paper on the trash bin . I did it in purpose I just want them to learn.  But I what I did for my first teaching was really helpful most of them are participating during discussion. The students who were not listening at first are the person who raises their hands at my second demonstration. But still there are two to three students were not really listening their batting in with none sense. Since I don’t want to be distracted I call her attention and ask her question. She can’t really answer she’s slouching feels like she’s at home. I ask for the guidance of the lord to help me to lengthen my patience so that I would not scold these students.

My insights 
 
To become a teacher I need to have patience in everything control angry as possible and never show anger. I learned that the more you show your anger the more they wanted to challenge the teacher. Always ask guidance of the lord in everything that I would be doing. 

My problems

I can’t manage well my class, actually just one of my 4 classes. I’m giving all my best not to get mad at my chastity class but seem they are enjoying testing my patience. One of my problems is that I can’t manage wisely my time before I do my lesson plans I need a motivation for me to be encouraged and start doing all the requirements needed to be done.

My solution

If they were too noisy I would just stand at a corner and wait for them to keep quiet. During discussion I call for the noisy students to recite.  We agreed in class that if students can’t answer my question they are not going to take their seat until they don’t give a correct answer. For me to be able to be encouraged to do all my requirements I wrote a quote I had read from a book which is “learning is fun if you’re happy on what you are doing”. I truly post it in my room beside my study table. My room is field with inspiring quotes in order for me to be motivated.
