Words are enough
Triumph
Teaching was not that easy it needs a
lot of effort to do. It’s a great accomplishment for the week passed I get to use
with my students I already feel comfortable with them. I come up with a
strategy that would minimize the student’s noise. I wrote on the board the
phrase “Please minimize your noise, you’re old enough to discipline
yourselves”. Luckily it’s a good strategy they shut their mouths and begin to finish
their activity. I don’t need to shout for them to listen.

Involvement
I can never forget my first day at the
section grade 8 Chastity. One of the
teachers does instruct me if I could go and guide the students for their
activity for my Cooperating Teacher is still absent due to health problem.
Students there were very noisy yet I need to manage my anger for I don’t want
to show my annoyance for the first day. I just stood in front and wait for them
to keep quiet but still seem they don’t have feelings they don’t even consider
the person in front of them. So I still
instruct them what to do yet everyone’s using their cellphone. For I was just I
student teacher I don’t have the right to capture their cellphone. Some were
listening but some were not. 15 minutes before time I can no longer manage the
noise what I did is that I told them that I would not let them go out for lunch
if they were not going to keep their mouth shut. Some don’t believe me until I
begin to let that quiet person in front, that’s the time they start to shut
their mouth. What can I say it’s a blessing and I love this class I really
do.?
Thoughts
At
times we need to consider why those students act as such. A teacher must
consider the needs of the students it’s not enough that you are teaching them
what the books say so. A teacher is considered as second parents of the students,
which are why teacher must consider her/his self a role model. A teacher must
not give names that would embarrass students. I learned that at times I must know the
problems of my student in order for me to assess their needs. At times it is
not bad to be stiff and strict because it’s your way of disciplining them. Respect
is the most important thing a teacher must give to his/her student to be able
to gain students respect.
Glitches
I got sick last week I am so upset for
it was the deployment period. I felt uneasy last Wednesday, what if my next
class would be the same as the grade 8 Chastity. What if I cannot manage my anger?
What if I commit mistakes?
Resolutions
In order me to assess well my students I
ask my Cooperating Teacher Mrs. Jocelyn Beltran if that section really performs
that way. She told me that 8 Chastity behaves that way because they were called
as the worst class during their seventh grade. And those names still instill to
their minds. She even told me that I should
go with the flow in order for me to understand them.
Goal
I
should consider for my attitude and how I carry myself. I should respect my
students and avoid giving them names that would be inculcate to their minds. Respect
their needs and wants. Help them to be a good citizen by means of giving them
some advice.
